Convent of Santa Catalina

The Church and Monastery of Saint Catherine of Siena is a religious architectural complex run by the Dominican Mothers. It is located on the corner of Andahuaylas, Puno, and Inambari streets in the old Barrios Altos area, in the historic center of Lima, the capital of Peru.
In November 1916, public worship of the Lord of the Sanctuary of Saint Catherine began, leaving its church for the first time, supported by a group of women. Furthermore, thanks to the magnificent initiative of Mother Sister Rosa Agripina of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, it continues to be seen in the streets of Lima until 2022. Every August 31st at 12:00 am, the month of Saint Catherine is celebrated. To date, there are 14 groups, incense burners, and singers. There is also a Sanctuary figure called Infancia Catalina, made by a singing sister.
