Tarapoto Blue Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon is probably the most visited spot in all of Tarapoto. It’s a beautiful lagoon located in the town of Sauce, 54 kilometers from the city. It’s an ideal destination for a family day out, sunbathing, and swimming. Located next to a dormant volcano, its waters maintain a temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit), perfect for swimming and playing in the various recreational areas located around its shores. In addition to lunch, visitors can enjoy various activities such as zip-lining, kayaking, jet skiing, and even horseback riding around the lagoon.
