Vinicunca Mountain of Seven Colors

There’s a place in southern Peru where a mountain draws the eye, not so much for its grandeur, but rather for its beauty. We’re talking about Vinicunca, or Rainbow Mountain, which has become one of the biggest tourist attractions in the land of the Incas.
Located in the Vilcanota Mountain Range—southeast of Cusco—Vinicunca offers a marvelous spectacle from the road leading to it. It’s a journey of approximately five hours by car and on foot, and while physically demanding, it culminates in a picture-postcard image that will remain forever etched in the traveler’s memory.
